Play Instructions:

- Apply the X: Beyond the Frontier v1.0 - v1.9 [GERMAN] Update - or any other to update to v1.9.
- Extract the XALLCRK.EXE Patch from the archive to the game directory.
- Execute the Patch to remove the CD-Check from: X.EXE
- Play the Game!

CD-Copy Instructions:
- Create the following temporary directories:
- Copy the full contents of the original CD to TempDir#1 (or use BlindRead to do the job) except for these files:
- 01.rsc
- cd.idx
- Bitpool.rsc
- Use Windows Commander 4.0 to copy the above 3 files to TempDir#1. Because these files contain errors, WC4 will abort the copy but the files will have been copied (the file-size does not matter).
- Create a Mode-1 CD-Image and burn the contents of TempDir#1 to a CD-R. Use the same CD-Label as the original CD.
- Play the game!

The Original CD is oversized, has bad sectors and contains a fake audio track + a second fake mode 1 data track. |
