The GameCopyWorld Forums are online again after some people found it necessary to flood them with dummy messages. Everything has been fixed now and we're (a)live again!
Searching for Memory...
We have some difficulty with our main server which has not enough memory, as it has to cater for about 200.000 daily visitors! We have been using a second hand HP NetServer LH2 but we can't seem to find memory for it... If anyone can supply us with an 128 MB ECC EDO 60 ns DIMM (HP Partnr: D4297A) or equivalent which works in a LH2 we would be very glad (we will ofcoz pay for it). We are also looking for 2 empty hot-swap brackets for the LH2 to add 2 additional drives (server logging is a killer with about 100 MB per day...)

Connection Problems
Yesterday our Domain server moved to a new location which caused some connection problems for some people. By now everything should be up and running again. The move was necessary as the previous connection was getting too crowded which caused some slowdown & timeouts.

If you still got problems connecting to the other domains then just remove the www from the domain name and you will connect (e.g.:  http://gamecopyworld.com)

DAEMON Tools Update GameFix
GameFix has posted the DAEMON Tools V1.03a update!

New Features:

  • Emergency bug fix for Win2000 setup! It disables memory write protection on Win2000 systems which don't have SoftICE installed.
    DAEMON Tools would not work without it!
  • Added 'fast dump' feature! If you run the Safedisc protected game and then launch any CD dump software (DiscDump, for example, or Blindread) all bad sectors will be skipped in about 10 seconds
  • Virtual DAEMON will generate them automatically for the dumping software and dramatically lessen the dumping time, especially on bad CD readers. Using this feature it's either possible to create perfect copies of 1:1 copies without 'errors'.
  • Added 'autostart' and 'taskbar icon' options.
  • Added Setup Support for Win 95B and above

We are still getting hundreds of e-mails per day with questions about problems with certain games or files. It is IMPOSSIBLE to answer all of these messages as this would take too much time. So if you have a question, and you want an answer, ask it in our GCW Message Forum. In most cases one of the moderators or another user will have the answer you seek!
Problems Downloading Files
It seems that the server which is holding the download scripts is being filtered by some ISP's. This problem has now been fixed for the more recent files and it will  be fixed in the next few days for all older available files.
