N.I.C.E. 2 [GERMAN] cannot be copied the way it is described by Dirty Harry. If you do it like it is described you end up having wasted a 80min blank for a 66min burn without audio tracks. Guess that's not what ppl expect to get :)
So, here's how do it right (and much less painful):
Just copy the CD with the latest DiscJuggler (Nero 4.x will probably also work) and set it to ignore errors. there is are in total 11 ECC/EDC errors spread over the data track. In the dirs with the racing tracks there is a 2.9 Mb file with the extension .LOC. This is where the errors are located. If these files cannot be read on the copy, the copy will work fine.
My copy was made on a Yamaha CDR100 with DiscJuggler 1.58 or so (latest release).
That's all. I was also told that Grim Fandango, while using the same copy protection, can not be copied this way. They seem to have some additional checks in there. |

Simply copy N.I.C.E. 2 with Multicopy v4.6.5 (CD Wizzard) Use these Copy Options:
- Ignore Errors
- Write to HD First
Use a 700 Mb CD-R to burn the CD! Just remove Track 5 when CD Wizzard is asking to put a CD-R in the burner! |

CD-Copy:
- Use CDRWIN 3.6 to make a Sectorcopy of the first Track (Backup Disk, COPY SECTOR).
- Click on the first track, right mouseclick, to get the LBA track info.
- Write down the LBA start and ending.
- Now insert the start LBA and the end LBA in CDRWIN
- Fileformat - Intel
- Datatype - Data - Mode1(RAW)2352
- Error recovery - Ignore
- Jitter correction - Auto
- Using these settings make an Imagefile called TRACK1.BIN.
- Extract the archive to the same directory as the TRACK1.BIN
file.
- Now load the cuesheet (Nice2.Grim.Hero.CUE) into CDRWIN.
- Burn the CD-R
|
NOTE: |
Only use BIG CD-R's, like an 80 min CD-R, as the image is very large!
These instructions also work for: Grim Farango & Rent a Hero [GERMAN] |
