Installation:
- Install the game - Full Installation.
- Apple the official Heretic 2 v1.06 Expension Pack/Update.
- Extract the HER2V106 NO CD.EXE
from the File Archive to the game directory.
- Execute the Patch to remove the CD-Check.
- Play the game!

Installation:
- Install the game (Full Installation).
- Extract the H2BLOOD.EXE patch from the archive to the game directory.
- Execute the patch to enable the violance level setting in the game option menu.
- Set the game to Ultra-Violence and play the Game!

| NOTE: |
Heretic II disables (hides) violence level settings in the game options menu on German operating systems. Moreover, the violence level is forced to "No Gibbing" regardless of whatever "blood_level" you set in "USER\config.cfg". Any language version of Heretic II shows this behaviour (e.g. U.S. or UK Version), the German version will most likely use the same method of content censoring. |

- Extract the HERETIC2CRK.EXE patch from the archive to the game directory.
- Execute the patch to remove the CD-Check.

CD-Copy:
- Copy the full contents of the CD to a temporary directory <tmpdir>.
- Copy the patch to this directory: <tmpdir>\SETUP
- Execute the patch (this will create the H2CRK
directory).
- Goto the H2CRK directory and execute: CRACK.COM
- When ready remove the H2CRK directory and remove the original patch (H2CD-COPY.EXE).
- Burn the contents of the temporary directory back to a CD-R, use the same CD volume label as the original CD (not mandatory).
- Play the game!

The AUDIO tracks can be added but are not needed to play the patched game. This patch combines the Heretic 2 [US] No-CD Patch
from Laxity & the extraction program for the Half-Life
CAB-files from the UCT patch. |

Use an 80 minutes CD-R or OverSize
a 74 minutes CD-R to burn. In some cases it is better to use the CD-Writer as Source CD-Reader as it is usually better able to read unreadable sectors. |
